Tips

Back Fields
There is always a lot of players that stay in the back fields and workout when the team is on the road.
Jim - President Mets Booster Club

Admire The Murals
Take some time before the game or between innings to admire the murals on the walls, honoring former Mets.

Traffic Delays
Anyone planning on going to Spring Training games at Tradition Field for the first time... If traveling I-95 south and exiting at St Lucie West Blvd (or anyone who plans on traveling eastbound St Lucie at all) be prepared for tremendous traffic delays. If you plan on arriving just at game time, allow yourself an extra 30-45 minutes travel time. An hour would be better.

Grandstand Is Off Limits Without A Ticket
If you buy a seat in the berm or bleachers you're stuck there. They have a separate entrance - Gate C in right field - and no access to the grandstand. www.SpringTrainingConnection.com

Don't wait until tickets go on sale to the public
Don't wait until tickets go on sale to the public. Call the box office first. Sometimes they have plans that will allow you to purchase tickets long before the public gets a chance to buy them. I just reserved seats for ten games this spring and they don't go on sale until 1/23 (that's 46 days prior to public sales). Of course these are Mets tickets and I live in Port Saint Lucie so it was convenient for me to do so. Good luck.

Harvey shows Tommy John return is a process
Matt Harvey at times has showed signs of struggle through his first year pitching after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. There is such a thing as Tommy John surgery fatigue and Harvey showed the vestiges of it on Saturday in a 4-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Mets' offense still trying to work through lull
Like the faintest blips on a heart rate monitor, the Mets' offense showed rare signs of life in the eighth and ninth innings on Saturday at Dodger Stadium. The three runs they scored may not have mattered much in a 4-3 loss to the Dodgers, who took advantage of Matt Harvey's wildness while leaning on their own superb starter, Zack Greinke, for seven shutout innings.

Mets ready for Mejia's return from suspension
Whether Jenrry Mejia addresses the clubhouse as a whole or has conversations privately, locker to locker, Terry Collins doesn't care. The Mets manager does not even care if his suspended former closer apologizes. But he does feel that Mejia must say something upon returning Tuesday in San Francisco.

Matz, eyeing encore, faces Dodgers
This time around, Steven Matz will have no family in the crowd, no screaming throngs of friends behind the home dugout. When Matz takes the mound for his second career start Sunday at Dodger Stadium, it will be normal.

Matz looking for more magic in series finale
