"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring".
Rogers Hornsby
We are a group of high school and college friends who started attending Spring Training games over 15 years ago. We created the site to help others with what to do before, during, and after the games.
One way to beat the crowds for a popular team like the Cubs or Red Sox is to catch a week day game. They tend too be a little easier to get tickets for.
Sit on the 1st base side of Tempe Diablo Stadium. There is a mountain directly behind the left field. The view of a mountain behind MLB players is something you can only see at the cactus league.
The Abacoa Town Center located near Roger Dean Stadium is open for lunch daily at 11:00 a.m. and there is a Starbucks for early risers. There are four main bars and all have daily specials. Rooney's, Jumby Bay Island Grill, JJ Muggs Stadium Grill and Masa Sagami (which is a Japenese Steakhouse, but one of the better bars in the area).
Save money by buying a lawn seat at the Phillies stadium in Clearwater, FL, get in early and stake out one of the bar stools in the Tiki Bar in left field. First-come, first-serve, sweet view of the game.

The best in-game entertainment in baseball. Period. No comparison. Once you've seen one, you'll want it at every baseball game thereafter. During spring training they shorten the run. They only run from the right outfield corner to home plate, but during the season in Milwaukee it's a marathon, completely around the entire warning track dugout to dugout. After the race, go to the mezzanine and get your photograph taken with the Sausages.
Until spring training games begin, the Red Sox hold practices at their Minor League Player Development Complex, which is located two miles east of City of Palms Park at 4301 Edison Avenue. Fans can watch practice sessions for free and shuttle buses are provided to them from City of Palms Park for $2 per person.
